About one-third of the workforce in Cass Township is employed in construction and manufacturing. Another third works for education, health and service organizations. Workers commute an average of 30.6 minutes to their jobs, and 15 percent of them carpool.

From the Cass Township Municipal Building, travelers are just eight miles from Schuylkill County Joe Zerbey Airport, 240 Airport Road, Pottsville. Corporate jets fly out of the airport, which also offers charter flights, aerial sightseeing flights, fall foliage tours and a flight school.
